I have just finished re reading Fahrenheit 451 when I had the opportunity to taste the Saviour Machines short stories. I often wonder how Bradbury managed to so subtly scare you with his masterpiece.

Well Poliwoda doesn't go in for subtle with this collection of dystopia.

We have an AI president called Hal in the first story, I think somebody is a fan of 2001! We have a nuclear attack in The Resident, but maybe that is what the protagonist was wishing for?

Factory outlet has a dystopian twist that could have been devised by J D Vance, and, oh yes, the lead character is called Smith!

We have a touch of Kafka in Glitch and perhaps a warning about what can result from believing conspiracy theories.

I will leave you to find out about the rest of the stories. Do give them all a go, it might make you think a little more about the world you live in.
